Prince – Tokyo 1990 (The Classic Japanese Broadcast)

Prince’s Nude Tour, a ‘greatest-hits’ outing which took place between June and October of 1990, was a ‘back to basics’ affair boasting few exotic stage sets or expensive effects, unlike his previous Lovesexy tour which, despite its critical praise, the high cost of the production made it a financial disappointment. Thus, this time round Prince eliminated much of the excessiveness of the previous year to make this jaunt more viable. Prince chose not to play in the United States in 1990 however, performing only in Europe and Japan.
